Water Based Extraction

Raw herb materials are collected from contracted and certificated farms. Raw herb plants are cleaned and prepared according to the traditional herbal processing method to reduce the toxicity. Methods include washing, steaming, parching, germinating, fermenting, stir-frying with liquid adjuvants, and freezing. All traditional medicine processing methods and “Chinese Pharmacopeia” standard are adopted in the process.

Filtration & Concentration

Produced decoctions undergo low temperature (40-60°C) filtration, cryoconcentration in an ISO Class 6 clean area. Quality monitoring system is put in place to ensure product consistency.

Spray Drying

Advanced misting spray drying system sprays herbs decorations into hot air to instantly dry. The short duration of hot air temperature ensures that the herbs’ active ingredients are not destroyed, which helps to maintain our herbs’ consistent standards of freshness, color, texture, taste, and water content.

Restore Essential Oils

During water-based extraction process, essential oils are collected and preserved. Oils are converted into solid forms. Then, a Beta-Cyclodextrin procedure is applied to reintroduce essential oils back to herb powders to increase the herbs’ efficacy.

Granulation

Crystalline material from step-5 is extruded into thin slices, smashed and adjusted into predetermined particle size.

Quality Assurance

Quality, concentration ratio, solubility, bacterial levels, heavy metals, pesticide residue, and flavacin are tested using modern analytical and testing instruments such as CAMAG REPROSTAR, HPLC, GC and ICP-AES. High-performance liquid chromatography and gas chromatography are also used to determine the level of active ingredients in the granules. Furthermore, thin layer scanning technology is used to identify the fingerprint code of each botanical. Certificates of Analysis provided for every batch include: Authentication, Heavy-metal, Pesticide Residue, and Microbiological Analysis. All products meet US and China FDA requirement.

Inspection

Automated packaging system is used to produce the final product. Quality inspectors make final visual inspection before products are transported to warehouses.

Storage & Distribution

Finished products are safely stored in a computer-controlled 7000m2 warehouse for distribution.
